Frequently asked questions
How often should I polish my aircraft?
Aircraft I service regularly go through the process every six months. That is not a fixed rule: it depends on where it is hangared, how much it flies and the current paint condition. An aircraft parked outside needs shorter intervals than one kept in a closed hangar.
Does polishing damage aircraft paint?
Done with proper technique, no. Polishing works the clear coat, not the base paint, and it is precisely what protects the paint from wear and corrosion. The risk appears with the wrong product, the wrong pad or the wrong dwell time. A good product without technique becomes a risk.
Why is the aircraft rough after leaving the shop?
Because it comes back with bonded paint and residue on the surface that regular washing does not remove. That is what clay bar decontamination is for: it restores the smooth touch before any polishing. Skipping this stage makes the polisher work on top of contamination.
Do you come to my hangar?
My base is Marechal Rondon International Airport, in Várzea Grande. To confirm service at your hangar, message me on WhatsApp with the location and I will answer right away.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on aircraft size, paint condition and the service. Send me the model, the registration and photos of the current condition on WhatsApp and I will send scope and price.
How do I preserve leather seats in the Mato Grosso heat?
The sun dries out leather and once it cracks there is no way back: only reupholstering, which costs far more than periodic treatment. Deep pore cleaning with periodic conditioning solves it. And be careful with off-the-shelf products: one simple mistake stains or dries it out for good.
Do you repaint aircraft?
No. Fuselage repainting is certified shop work and I do not do it. What I do is revitalization: with decontamination and multi-stage correction, the existing paint looks new again, without the cost and the downtime of a repaint.
What if corrosion shows up during the service?
I treat the surface and report the finding to the mechanic or the shop. Structural corrosion is not a detailing matter, and anyone saying otherwise is going beyond the limits of their own service.
